How much does digital marketing cost in Miami?
Typical ranges for websites, SEO, Google Ads, Meta ads, and AI automation in Miami-Dade, what pushes each number up or down, and how to budget from a revenue goal instead of a guess.
The short answer, in real numbers
Most Miami businesses that are serious about growth invest somewhere between $2,500 and $10,000 per month across channels. That is the range we most commonly see across our Miami engagements, and it is wide for a reason: a solo Kendall accountant and a Brickell personal injury firm are not buying the same fight.
One-time projects sit outside the monthly figure. A conversion-focused website commonly runs $4,000 to $15,000 or more depending on scope. Our packages are published on our pricing page, so you can check everything below against what we actually charge.
The rest of this guide breaks the ranges down by channel, explains what moves each number, and shows how to set a budget from your revenue goal instead of picking an amount that feels safe.
Why Miami costs more than the rest of Florida
Three forces make Miami-Dade pricier than Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville.
- Competition density. Florida leads the country in new business formation, and a heavy share of those registrations land in Miami-Dade. Every one of them is fighting for the same first page you are.
- Click prices. Miami legal and home-service clicks are among the most expensive in the country, and that auction pressure spills into neighboring categories like roofing, AC repair, and cosmetic dentistry. The same keyword simply costs more here.
- Bilingual production. Roughly seven in ten Miami-Dade households speak a language other than English at home, Spanish first. Reaching the whole market often means Spanish ad groups, Spanish landing pages, and follow-up in the language the lead used. That is real production work, not a checkbox, and it shows up in cost.
None of this means you need the biggest budget in your category. It means sloppy spend gets punished faster here than in softer markets.
Typical monthly ranges by channel
These are the ranges we typically see for Miami businesses buying serious work. They are context, not quotes. Your market position changes everything.
| Channel | Commonly runs | What that buys |
|---|---|---|
| Website project | $4,000 to $15,000+ one time | Custom, conversion-focused build; bilingual and ecommerce add scope |
| SEO retainer | $1,500 to $5,000 per month | Local visibility plus content; contested verticals sit at the top |
| Google Ads | $2,000 to $10,000+ ad spend | Plus management, commonly $500 to $2,000 or a percentage of spend |
| Meta ads | $1,500 to $8,000 ad spend | Plus management; creative production drives the difference |
| AI automation | $1,500 to $10,000 setup | Follow-up, booking, and review systems, then a smaller monthly |
Each channel has its own Miami playbook: web design, SEO, Google Ads, Meta ads, and AI automation. Wired together properly, they stop being line items and start behaving like one customer acquisition system, which is how we build: not a pile of deliverables, but revenue infrastructure where every piece feeds the next.
What moves each range up or down
- How contested your category is. A Coral Gables orthodontist competes with every practice from South Miami to the Gables. A niche logistics firm in Doral might have five real rivals. Same county, different fight.
- Your service area. Covering all of Miami-Dade costs more than owning three neighborhoods well.
- Bilingual scope. English-only cuts production cost and market reach at the same time. Decide which matters more for your customers.
- Ticket size and sales cycle. High-ticket work can justify expensive clicks. Low-ticket volume needs cheaper, more efficient channels.
- What already exists. Clean tracking and a fast site lower every number. Broken foundations have to be fixed before anything performs, and that work lands early in the budget.
The $500 per month trap
There are agencies in every market that will take $500 a month and promise everything. Here is what that money actually buys: two or three hours of junior time, a templated report, and content produced at volume prices.
The most common version we audit in Miami is the doorway-page mess: dozens of near-identical pages targeting every municipality from Homestead to North Miami Beach, thin Spanish translations run through software, and a Google Business Profile nobody maintains. It looks like activity. Then the pages compete with each other, rankings stall, and the cleanup costs more than the retainer ever did. We cover the symptoms in our guide to why Miami businesses stop ranking on Google.
If $500 is genuinely the budget right now, do not buy fake SEO with it. Keep your Google Business Profile complete and active, ask every happy customer for a review, and save until you can fund one channel properly.
Budget from your revenue goal backward
The honest way to set a budget is to start from what you want to earn, not from what a channel costs. A worked example, illustrative only:
- A Coral Gables med spa wants $25,000 in new monthly revenue.
- If a new patient is typically worth $2,500 in the first year, that is 10 new patients a month.
- If roughly one in three qualified consultations becomes a patient, that is 30 consultations.
- If a qualified lead in a competitive Miami medical category commonly costs $50 to $150 to generate, that is roughly $1,500 to $4,500 a month in media, before management and the landing pages that do the converting.
Your numbers will be different. The method is the point: when the budget is derived from customer value and close rate, you can tell within a quarter whether the math is working, and you stop paying for marketing on faith. No agency can guarantee the outcome. A good one will insist on tracking that makes the outcome measurable.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Who actually works my account? Ask whether the people on the sales call do the work. Our accounts are 100% senior-run. Plenty of Miami retainers are sold by a founder and executed by whoever costs least.
- What do I own if we part ways? Domain, website, ad accounts, and data should be yours. Walk away from anyone who keeps them.
- How will you report? Revenue and cost per customer, not impressions and engagement charts.
- Where does the money split? Media versus management should be transparent to the dollar.
- What have you done at this level? We have tracked over $42M in client revenue across 38 brands since 2025. Whoever you talk to should show their version of that number and how it was measured.
If you would rather have the budget conversation with real numbers on the table, book a call through our contact page. We will map your revenue goal to a plan, show what it typically costs in your category, and say honestly if the math does not work yet.
Budget questions, answered
What is the minimum sensible digital marketing budget in Miami?
For paid work done properly, plan on roughly $1,500 to $2,500 per month for one focused channel. Below that, put the money into your Google Business Profile, reviews, and a website that converts, then add paid channels once the budget can feed them.
Why does digital marketing cost more in Miami than Orlando or Tampa?
More businesses compete for the same searches, Miami legal and home-service clicks are among the most expensive in the country, and reaching the bilingual market often doubles production work. The upside is that the customers being fought over tend to be worth the fight.
Should I pay a monthly retainer or a project price?
Projects fit work with a finish line, like a website build or an automation setup. Retainers fit work that compounds, like SEO, ads management, and conversion optimization. Most Miami engagements we run combine one of each.
When do results justify the cost?
Judge paid channels on cost per customer once tracking is honest, commonly inside 60 to 90 days. SEO needs months to compound. If a channel cannot show a credible path to profitable customer acquisition within a quarter of clean data, change the plan.
